Look Gonzo's play aside, Alou had that catch. Which would have kept runners out of scoring position and you got two outs. It changed the flow of the game entirely. You can't look at plays afterwards and say Yeah, but... Those plays shouldn't have been possible in the first place.

Over the course of 7 games the good breaks and the bad breaks will even out on both sides.

As for the fan thing.....it was a full count on Castillo, all Prior had to do was throw a strike, instead he threw one in the dirt that got past Bako and let Pierre go to 3rd.

EVEN IF Alou had caught that ball, there would have been 2 outs and IROD got a solid hit in the next at bat, and then Cabrera hit one to short that Gonzales bobbled.
Then Lee hit a double to tie the game. None of that had anything to do with the fan trying to catch the ball.

Conine wouldn't have been able to hit the sac fly with 2 outs, but the reason he hit it is because there was only one out, otherwise that would have been a different at bat.

Dusty Baker left Prior in too long and then the bullpen melted down, that's what cost you the game.

The natural reaction of anyone in that situation is to put your hands up for the ball. It's not like he really leaned out over the wall to try and catch the ball. Those are the breaks. Tell that bullpen to get someone out.
