download.com is actually a portal linking to downloads having small reviews. They don't give anything more for fee than the available on every software site. (tucows etc). I suggest to untick the boxes telling them to contact you about offers blah blah. I hate having to put a damn password for everything i do online.

and they still advertise on their site like crazy!

if you download the full top 10 for example you "have to" register.. i blocked their cookies.. but its always the same shit
