Kinghost does 404's ?

I always liked them and now...My sites load just fine. Hit the refresh button few times - still fine, but when I click on a image and hit the back button afterwards - 404 !!! Anybody has the same experience?

Antonio, no I don't think so. I tried to do as you explained and nothing happened to me on my browser..

The funny thing is all my other sites are OK - I checked them, only this one does it. May be I screwed up something? Checked the Hun as well - few sites are listed there so I also think they are not doing 404's but wtf is wrong with this one??? I've noticed on some other hosts if your site's html file is with capital letters you might get strange behaviours but mine is not...

I thought that, too, before actually reading the thread. He refreshed his page, then pressed the back button on his browser. That doesn't suggest a mistake on his part to me.

Are your other sites on different servers? I would guess that there's more demand on that particular server, so there's a greater chance pages 404.

He-he. All my pages on this server are fine, except the one I've mentioned. The demand has always been great for this one, but that doesn't explain what happens. Well - it is not the end of the world...

I don't mean demand for your particular site, but on the server. If that server is overloaded there will be problems.

What kind of 404 you got? The standard Internet Explorer error page, or a page with sponsors?

I just tried what you mentionned but couldn't reproduce the problem.

On a side note, www2 is far from being overloaded; so it can't be the problem.

If it happens all the time, maybe you can try to clear your cache and see if it happens again?

God - I didn't mean the demand for my site. I meant the demand for the server. Dan - i know you are running the kinghost (or am I wrong?) - I got the AP page, but it might have been my connection, because it is all fine now...

Yep that's right. Maybe somebody was working on that server too. Trust me that would be the last thing we'd do (redirect random and/or foreign traffic).

You ever get the feeling you had your time wasted when you tried to help someone?

I list several kinghost galleries on tgp4all and so far my bot has not catched 1 single redirect from a kinghost listed gallery. It checks both thumbnails and all pictures. It is working 75% of the day (it need a little break every now and then) so I really doubt they are redirecting anything. Besides I have known Dan for a long time now and the last thing he would do was to redirect anything.

Thanks for the reply Dan (I was away for a while which explains the delay of my answer). I have never had the problem before - that is why I started this post on a first place. Anyway it is all fine now.

Thanks Due, this is appreciated. About support, well I don't like 404s like everybody, so I'm concerned about them.
