    domain question?? HELP!

I transfered a domain to another registrar and check the nameserver info in new registrar 20mins ago. When i do a whois it shows nameserver has been changed but its still using the same old one?? Also it shows domain as

    status: production

    what does that mean?

okay. one question though. when u change nameservers, and the change appears instantly on whois, shouldnt the change also take place immediately? or does it take time before the new nameserver takes effect?
