Mpeg DEcoder needed...

I need to DEcode some mpegs. Can someone show me the way?

Not sure what you mean by that. Are you not able to view some mpegs or are you wanting to convert them to another format?

Yeah, it's because the program I'm trying to use reads mpegs, but they need to be "decoded" first. I've never heard of that, but what I did was creat a single AVI, then ran it thru XL and for whatever reason, that decoded it...

But there must be a better way, I kinda don't really trust XL.

Yeah, I hate when I have to chain programs together to get something done with video, it takes long enough as it is with just one! Hope Voodoo's advice works because I can't suggest anything better.
