    imaging question

Hi, I'm new to the business, and I had a question regarding thumbnail a large amount of movies, what sort of software packages are available for that job.

Another Question I had was, how can you batch convert mpeg to streamable format, wmv. Windows Media 8 encoding utility does not seem to accept that format, unlike windows media 7 encoder which has no batching available.

    Your help is appreciated.

You should never try to compress one format (MPEG) to another format (WMV).. At least try to get the original non-lossily compressed AVIs.. If you can't, then what you want to do is decompress the MPEG to AVI, and then recompress the AVI as WMV.. You will take a nasty quality hit there, so try not to do it.
