Nedder,
Make that: "I can smell ignorant (not worth dealing business with) people blacklisting me."...
Ya it's a long downtime, but I think that this time it's not prohosters. Would they let their whole system go down for that many hours. I believe it has something to do with the backbone. I mean I can't access my email, my site, their IRC support, their own site so this smells like backbone... Or not? Anyway I am gonna stay with those hosting companies who offer GOOD 24/7 IRC support. They do and that's what matters to me. I don't wanna hear how cheap someone is. When shit happens be there for me and answer my questions - that's what I want.
If anyone knows anything about why this downtime post it here so we'll know who to thank for.

Well I can't even acces their page...so I hardly think they are doing this on purpose.
They have been great with customer service. I just wish I could know when things are back. I have been submitting tons of sites and really dont want to have them all pulled because of this.
However theyhave been very good so I will wait before I jump ship.
Howevr...if any of you own link lists that I have submitted to..please be kind

My sites have been fine until now. What story have they been telling for a week?
I just checked some old emails and I have the following phone numbers. They may be their accounts department.
302.462.1232 or 302.275.5408
I would call but #1 its very long distance for me and #2 the other phone line is in use.

Well if they told you its Verio thats down well thats a good try...
I dont know but were on verio and we have had no problems at all to date. Anyhow we offer the works uptime server and above all customer satisfaction. We may be cheap but thats our choice not because we skimp on service or have bad uptime.
well it wasn't like we were having our sites redirected some circle jerk. They were just down. If someone blacklists you just because they couldn't conect to it then they aren't being very sensible.

When I posted prohoster´s message, I thought it was better if each one had their own conclusions.
After a second thought, I decided to post my opinion on this episode:
Prohosters was not to blame for the problem; as usual, they did their best to solve the problem; they got a credit from verio and passed it on to all the customers; customers got one month free in compensation for a few hours down.
I have no intention to move from Prohosters right now.
Let's wait and see what happens ...
The problems seem to be over IMHO they even seem to be faster.
For now I'm not considdering putting myself in the pain of moving

This sucks that shit like this could Happen Im sure Prohosters will be back up and Better then ever Shortly
I'm sticking my moderate traffic AVS/search engine stuff on them, but I'm not going to do any more TGP until I'm shown that these problems are taken care of.
I honestly appreciate them keeping their customers informed of who is to blame in these situations, but the bottom line is that we lost service at that time while other hosts did not. I don't care who is to blame, all I know is that when my sites are not up I'm not making money.
On their side, however, I've had these problems with every host I've tried so far, so maybe I've got a gold standard.
