Your basic stupid question about The Hun

It's been a quite a few weeks since I submitted to Hun and last I knew he was only a day or two behind reviewing the galleries.

I started submitting again last week and haven't received a decline or acceptance yet so I was wondering if anyone knew how many days out he is....????

if he really likes your gallery - he may post it right away - otherwise its about 2-3 weeks

well.. i personally like hearing from the tgps if my gallery was accepted or not.. then i know what happened.. worldsex for example sends msgs that say: wasn´t accepted because of... XYZ

I liked the decline letters too.... well, not really but you know what I mean.

As far as him posting it right away or 2 to 3 weeks.... I don't care about how long it takes to get posted. I was wondering how long til he reviews it. Especially if he isn't sending out declines. It would be nice to know if he's already seen one and didn't like it so I could make changes.

I also notice some smutserver problems which I use just for Hun. I have seen broken images coming up randomly so that may not be helping.

Are you kidding? You are lucky you have not been blacklisted or arrested over "XYZ." There are countries where being convicted over "XYZ" can result in the death penalty! Be thankful all they did was decline your gallery.

It takes about 4-5 days to get approved at the moment and then about a week to get listed.

This is nothing new for Smutserver. They've had this problem from the start. Especially if you use a dialup connection.
Apparently this problem rarely occurs on broadband connections.
It can be quite bad sometimes too.
On dialup, if you try loading more than one big pic at a time, they'll either come up broken, or only load half way.
And getting a whole gallery to load without any broken thumbs is a chore.

I pointed the the guys at Smutserver to a discussion about this on AWI a few weeks ago.. Their reply was "We only respond to queries on our own message board".

*shrug* Looks like they really wanna fix it.

I have nothing seriously against them. I don't see them redirecting or anything like that, but you'd think that a problem such as this (and it's a huge problem for many people on dialup), they'd at least want to acknowledge it instead of ignoring it because the question was asked on a different forum.

the gallery I submitted on the 3rd was just approved, so it looks like he is a week behind on reviews. I don't care when he lists it as long as I know he's gonna

As for the smutserver issue, I haven't been on dialup in over a year and have never had that problem with them. In fact I still don't with my old smutserver accounts but the newest one (smutserver14) seems to be real sketchy. Oh well. Ya get what you pay for.

I still send out the decline/accept emails... People have the right to know what's up and if a gallery can be fixed easily I'm helped with sending a decline e-mail. They're not always mailed though. Problem is that a decline email indeed brings more work (questions, is this better, what do I need to change, that sort of emails). And that's not problem of course 'cause I don't mind working for my money, but there's only 24 hours in a day...

My goal would be to get 90 perfect galleries that are all 100% ok. That will not happen. But by at least telling people what's wrong with something they stop posting that. So I have less "bad" submissions and people have a better chance of getting listed...

A lot of TGPs are moving to posting only a few select people who they know, trust and submit regually to them for exactly the reasons the hun mentioned above. He's one of the few big guys left that actually takes the time (and it's a HUGE amount of time) to look at new people's galleries the first time they send them to him. 1000's of galleries every day. Can you imagine how many emails he would get if he sent a decline letter to every gallery rejected! It would crash most email accounts there would be so many! I'm actually very surprised he still sends some out. I would assume if you do get one he feels you have the potential to go somewhere in this business and I would take his advise and feel honored that he felt you were worth writing to.

Years ago I submitted a couple of times but never got a decline email at all. I guess thehun likes the traffic coming from declined sites. It can't be hard to make a custom decline message.

However I don't want to get listed at all.

It's not, but as Hun said... it's more than that cuz then he gets all the emails asking "is this ok?" "what about now?" etc.... which adds up when you get 1,000+ a day.

Anyhow, Sleazy is right. Take his advice to heart and don't look down at him for having high standards. I'll let all the doubters in here know how many signups I get from the gallery after it's been listed. I'm gonna guess at least 10. This sponsor is pretty hot but the gallery was a little light on promotion for Hun.

BTW... Sleazy, what's the deal with Hot Sex Series..?? I sent an email to be a submitter and never heard back. I'm a partner on just about every big TGP out there. Hell, a lot of times my galleries are right next to yours

Hears an interesting viewpoint. Just how much traffic comes from DECLINED sites?!?!
Next to nothing. lees than 1% of 1% of total traffic to a site comes from this source. Ok, with the volumes of galleries the Hun gets from submissions it might amount to a couple of thousand hits a day, and to someone new in this business that might be significant but don't forget the amount of traffic going through that URL. The Hun ( and many others including my sites) don't really care about recips at all. Sure they're nice and make us smile and they do help a bit but they are not really necessary if a gallery is a quality gallery.

A custom decline message would generate volumes of reply email that would have to be looked at by hand and take an ENORMOUS amount of time.

As for hotsexseries, my brother handles the submission reviews. I don't know your current situation or galleries but here's a few tips. We only take series hardcore sex galleries. We want only galleries from people who hold a LICENCE to use their content. We perfer galleries that are not on freehosts, that being said if we don't get enough that are on their own URL then we will take some free hosted galleries. We don't have a work ethic anything near to what the hun has, We are LAZY. We still work every day though, but our pets require a LOT of attention and we cann't stay on the computer all day. That means we are giving preference to those people who submit regularly and every day with quality galleries. I have NO idea how the Hun actually is able to look at all the galleries he gets and We have a LOT of respect for the fact that he does indeed look at them all. We can barly keep up with ours and he gets at least 20X what we do in submissions. The man is a TOTAL work-a-holic.

Ok that being said, I would suggest you drop and icq to 'buffed body'(my brother) and ask him to review a couple of sample galleries and if he likes them he'll set you up with a perfered submitter account or he'll let you know what he doesn't like about them and help you to fix the problem. his icq# is 125080023
