disk space on your server

what kind of plans do you guys have?

if your doing 1, 2, or even 3 galleries a day and you never delete them.

after few months or years it must add up to alot of space.

now you add a few paysites with decent members area, add a few hundred free sites, few AVS, and some TGP's in the mix.

And spread out your shit on mutiple servers

i think i am outgrowing virtual

truth is i should have gone dedicated long time ago i guess, just dont want to go through the hassle of changing anything.

WHat hassle? The host will move the shit over get new ip , test shit out on the ip then when evrything is fine you flip the DNS over

You can save a lot by planning. I have seen a lot of webmasters upload the same pictures multiple times instead of doing symlinks.

I have 2 x 40GB where 1 of them is a backup for the first.

I have 2 dedicated servers, both with 80GB drives and im running out of room...time to add a nother one in a couple months. shop around for dedicated servers, self manage it and you will not spend a shitload of money.

I got 6 GB... One time when that email virii was going around the server was filled with virus so the there was no more discspace hehe. but im not going to tell you who I host with cuz then you gone think that they are bad or sometyhing.

isprime takes great care of me. but if for any reason i decided to get a new or second host, id go with them only because sly is a good friend.
