I have a RedHat box that I set up here so that I could learn the ins and outs of admining a Linux server. I thought about dumping Windows all together, since all the tools I need haven't been ported to Linux...it didn't make sense.
If you want the stability and security of Linux/*nix as well as the ability to use tools like Dreamweaver and Photoshop...Mac OSX is probably your best bet.
I love my Mac, and while it's a little old and slow it, in combo with my Winbox will do the job until my G5 arrives

You are on to something here. If you don't mind paying the price premium for the Mac hardware, then OS X is the way to go.Originally posted by candyflip

I personally use a Linux workstation for all of my work (coding, html, some graphics). I don't do any video editing, and I do all of my coding, HTML, etc in VIM. For graphics work, GIMP is pretty good - not quite photoshop level, but it works for me.
