I host a site that has a large number of banners (maybe hundreds) in his link exchange program.
I saw some PHP scripts a while back to manage that. Its not exactly like toplist scripts, but similar, although vastly simpler.
Does anybody know of a script available?
Alternatively, if you can do it cheap I'd be willing to pay someone.
Here are the specs:
1. Mysql database of banners, including some basic information, the banner location (local server) or alternatively a text blob of html. Also a text description, and a category. Each banner has a relative priority manually entered, which controls its display order.
2. The runtime script displays a welcome page, with links to all categories. The surfer can click on a category and get a page of all the banners, broken into n pages and with navigation buttons.
3. There is also a text link option, where surfers with slow connections can opt not to see any graphics, instead seeing the text descriptions.
4. A maintenance form - which lets the webmaster enter and delete banners, change relative priority, category, etc.
5. Should have includable template files, including a style sheet, header and footer, etc.
That is about it. Not a big project, but easily a day or two of work I think to do a nice job.
If you can do it, shoot me a price. It has to be in PHP. You can also email me steve AT fareastmedia DOT com.
