Thumbnails creator

I remember reading of GFY about a person or company...not sure exactely but they were beta testing a program that could create thumbnails.
Not your ordinary thumbnail creator but a program that would allow you to set the size, and then go to the picture and make a thumbanil from only a particular part, instead of downsizing the whole pic.
Example: jpeg of a chick, and you simply make a thumbnail of her face.

Can anyone remember that or is that now a program that can be purchased?

I search the records but i can't seem to find it anywhere.

Ya Ya...I know photoshop but this program was simple and it did the job fast.

Don't tell me you guys never batch files...to save time.
Same thing I am looking for a faster option.

if you're thinking that there's a program with some kind of artificial intelligence that can distinguish faces and crop just for that - doesn't exist. any of these thumb programs - the most u can do is set it to crop at certain x.y coordinates in batch mode - if your photos are all very similar it can work out fine but usually that isn't the case and you're going to get some weird crops.

You can do batch jobs with photoshop :-)

Thank guys I will take a look at those options. BTW it doesn't necessary have to be a face, it just can't be a miniture picture of the original.

jeso....no batching each pic is original and I want to be able to just set the size and then search on each jpeg for the best thumbnail. But thanks for your input
