Prefer SecureCRT but will use Putty when it isn't available.

Got a free licence to f-secure from school. Been very happy with it, and could even recommend it.

I've always used PuTTY, but recently I used SSH Secure Shell (http://www.ssh.com/products/security/secureshellwks/) and I'd recommend it. It even allows file transfers.

If you ever need a SFTP client for Windows, I highly recommend FileZilla. http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/

SFTP is a component of SSH 2, correct?

so if i use filezilla it would have the same type of secure transfer of files as if i used Putty?

I would go for http://www.ssh.com/ ... I have tried F-secure but http://www.ssh.com/ is just much better.
