    Win XP help

    How do i stop all these programs ( aim icq etc ) from loading when i start up my computer?

    Thanks for any help

    Start>, Run, type "Msconfig", hit Ok.

    Then click the Startup tab, wala.

          Delete the system 32 file. This should solve it.

            I wish we could go back to XP. Everything since then has been a money grab by MS and added basically no new functionality that we actually need.

              My experience with XP was all fine up to 6-12 months of use. Beyond that it got cluttered, blue screens, freezes, slowed down and crashes was all part of my work day.

              As soon as those signs started to appear, I always planned in a full wipe of drive and installed a new xp from scratch.

                  On Windows Xp, running Aim, and can't work out how to use the internet to search for a fix, of the most simple issue in 18 year old software.
