I need a linux search and replace program

I need a program or script that can find a certain chunk of code in a directory of web sites and delete it. Does anyone know of anything besides AWK or SED?

I use perl for stuff like that. But I guess that's not what you're looking for.

I don't know if dreamweaver runs on linux to, but I use that to search and replace anything inside my websites. It also does complete folders...
