Google going down the hill?

I ran a test on the quality of traffic from different places and I must say that Google has changed... and not for the better.

There seems to be alot of weird shit going on here.

Over the past seven days I got 60 sales to my Pay Site, out of which 23 were denied for various reasons, eg: declined card, voided transaction, etc...
Surprisingly, Google send over 80% of all these transactions!
All my other traffic sources only generated 20% voided transactions, and google 80%... Not very happy considering the price.

Anyone else had this experience?

Check the origin by country of your google traffic. If they're mostly non-american, then that would be the reason.

Nah, I specificaly set the traffic to be only US, UK and Australian based, so it should be pretty reliable.

I know its google because all google traffic is sent through a cgi IP logger, then I cross reference the results with the IPs of successful and unsuccessful sales. The site is a movie site selling at only $14.95 and converting as 1 in eighty uniques. The target keywords were all adult movie related... eg:

Adult Movies
XXX Movies
Hardcore Movies
Download Adult Movies etc...

And the site's position varies from 2-3 to 6-7 to make sure that i don't just get random clicks... The campaign has been optimized very well and is bringing in good sales, its just that the quality of sales from google is shit, which is nothing I myself can do about.

yes. my ars account where i send google traffic has a pis to signup ratio of 14:1 which means 1 out of 14 signing up the form where able to get a membership.
pis = personal information submit (normally 5:1)

i am running close to topbucks limits because of chargebacks getting through the roof.

google gets tons of indian traffic that is worth nothing, at least not for cc signups.

hmm, that makes me wonder.

I have had 9 transactions where 5 got denied because of the processores "anti cc fraud system".

The traffic came from google and yahoo only

I have bad expeirence with paysite keyword traffic from google. I had one top listing, made about 40SU and about 7people made revokes. I think the surfer knows to get money back, because it was quality subniche site.

google has extremely international traffic.
problems:
1. cc's are not accepted at all (for some real reason)
2. if you lived in a country where $40 is 10% of your monthly income but you like porn a lot and figured out how to get your money back - what would you do? - that's when problem 1 protects the processors


it would not be that bad a problem if the visa regulations aren't that strict, but if you have too much foreign traffic (where foreign means not northamerican, australian, western european) then you run into the risk of getting kicked out of sponsor programs.

the internet is growing especially in the poorer regions of the world, google reported a sharp increase of indian traffic.

1. yes, maybe westerneuropean traffic, too, but you better would do with german or french sites (might be too complicated)

2. what advertising methods? you mean with se's or in general?

to produce traffic, the best are privately traded traffic with trusted people.
if you want to know what is best for me to upsell to a membership: i cannot say, i think i am fucking bad in getting sales, my ratios are poor and i got a lot of traffic. i get my sales by sheer volumes, eg i send to different sponsors a day:
ars: 25k +
silver: 18k +
then i got 10 sponsors i send around 10k each
and a whole load of sponsors getting with 1k +/-
but only cashing 100k /month.
