    Eudora email client

Since my old pc with email took a walk in the park, I decided to maybe change email clients. A pain in the ass, as I have been using a little program called Calypso for 6 years, so it has a ton of maps, years of backups and 1000s of contacts that I cannot import.

I also tried Eudora today for a little while, but I have a few problems, might be my wrong, might be it just sucks:
1.) When my McAfee spots a Virus in an email, the program stops checking my email, why?
    2.) The filters don't work

Anybody had these issues and remebered how to solve it?

I already got the latest version of Calypso again. It is old, steady, no virusses and easy to use.

Thanks though, due to the few replies here I knew it was not best.

I LOVE Eudora! Especially after I read about all the folks catching viruses from Outlook.

The filters work fine for me - make sure you're doing it right - it's probably different than your old program. I don't use McAfee, so I can't help you there.

Eudora works great for me. Very stable, and easy to transfer to another computer if necessary, unlike Outlook.

I've got literally hundreds of filters, never had a problem. Make sure you save your filters before exiting.

I confirm ... EUDORA rules ... filters work and norton antivirus doesn't cause it to stop or crash ... don't know about McAfee
