    HELLLLLLLP asap php problem

    im setting up a script i bought autorankproPHP
    im getting this error
    Error PHP is running in safe mode.
    From /home/virtual/site1/fst/var/www/html/AutoRankPHP/common.php line 4


    what the hell does php running in safe mode mean?????

    something to do with security of your php, it's probably too high

        Not sure what it is for, but I know you have to turn it off in php.ini on the server

          If you are on shared hosting that's possible.. It's off by default. That option tries to make php executions more secure by not allowing system commands or limiting them to a special folder only.

            Safe mode was especially for earlier versions crucial. Nowadays safe mode turned off can still be a security leak but it's by far not as dangerous anymore as it used to be... depending on your configuration you may be able to disable safe mode with .htaccess (or how did that work again?)

                Disable it in your php.ini

                You can also add a directive for your virtual host in its httpd config file.

                  on ensime you can not do this you have to write a file save it and restart the apache but you dont watn to do it for all domains and the whole server hehe ya learn alot when you go to rtfm
