    Hosting question, need help

    Hey I have a quick question here, I just got this email and Im just wondering if this is a good offer or if it blows. I have my own server so this email doesnt really pertain to me, but just thought Id ask around and see what the going rate for virtual hosting in.

    Is that good for virtual hosting?

          Can you tell me why? Im hopeing for something other then "it blows"

                  Well, 40 gigs for one month for $100 equals a rate of $2.50 per gig. Which, in and of itself, blows. Then you tack on $2.00 overages, and it blows even more. 40 gigs? Please. I burn that for breakfast.

                      It does indeed blow.

                      $2 per gig is a rip off. At the moment I'm paying $0.95 per gig. Solid and fast as fuck.

                      And, what kind of company needs to spam you to get your business?

                          200 megs hard drive $1.20 Per Gig (Min 50 Gigs/Month)
                          1 email account Full FTP access
                          CGI-BIN PHP


                          You get 200 megs of storage, with the place in the email you get 1 gig.

                          $1.20 per gig bandwidth? and you have to use 50 gigs minimum, thats $60 a month bandwidth bills no matter what. They also have $3 overage charges.


                          The email place was 40 gigs for free and then $2 overages.

                          and cgi bins are normal and so is php.

                          Also they want for 500 megs of storage $230 !!!!
