I have noticed a trend of late here on this board and it saddens me some what.

I joined this board to network with others that use AP as sponsors. Not to see spams on where to submit links, flaming of others. But an open forum where we all can excahnge ideas, hints, and information.

Sure the bullshit can contuine as it would be a very boring board. And I know Lensman wouldn't want that as he seems to be trying hard at ways to keep this place hopping.

Maybe I am wrong as I write this but I sure don't want it to turn into some of the boards I was a member of. Nothing but spams, hate, and genreal all around pissing contests.

hope I made sense in all of this. Well now it is time I go back to work later all.

BUT,,,, don'tcha think Lens HAD piss in mind when he chose the name GO FUCK YOURSELF?

I think Ynot is still, even without Khan, a fairly professional board, without the personal potshots that make this board interesting and Netpond a sewer.

I have been reading you all for awhile ...the only reason that I have waited to respond was due to a motorcycle wreck that almost killed me, but I am able to use one hand now. When I 1st learned about you all I was learning a lot. and really enjoyed it (and still do). the BS chat is a great break from trying to get life in order again.
But the tips and fedback on different things is why I am here. To give and recieve help, though I don't know of anyone that I have helped yet,some day I will return what was given to me though. Isn't that what this is for?

You are absolutely right Dirtypainter. I admit to being one of those people that has allowed myself to be sucked into ongoing threads that have nothing to do with help, advice, what have you. As a matter of fact, I was just thinking that on my last post on the long thread started on the topic of one of Corpsie's sites (which is why I stated i was Leaving and never coming back ). I post at adult BBS' to do exactly as you mentioned and found myself debating morals, ethics and the like. Decided that I wasn't going to anymore...or at least try not to back to business. I do enjoy fucking around, and I do think this board was made for more than just "serious" discussion, maybe a way for all of us to get to know each other beyond business? But, I too have noticed more posts having nothing to do with webmastering. I've turned a new leaf I shall stick to business from now on.

I don't want anybody to really turn all professional and such here on this board. Just think twice about what some post are meant to be for. I have a tip on the webmaster Q&A section and I was basicly slammed for the host I was using for thumper. it didn't even relate to anything about the post I was making.

And like the wizdom-corpsie posts going on. That I suspect was mainly a post for lensman to call his attention of what corpsie website was about, not a call for all of us to flame his ass. Even thou I don't believe corpsie should be even allowed to post things like that. As he is in violations of copyright laws that we all deal with.

I kinda hope wizdom wins the DVD for the most post to his thread. But I am sure he didn't think this would be a thread for that contest. But then again who knows what wizdom is thinking most times.

Hmmm got to get out of this funk I am in. Guess I wil go have a beer or 2.

Hmm...correct me if I'm wrong but what is the URL of this BBS again?
It seems to me that the purpose of this board is a place to fuck around, have fun, but to do it with some experienced users, others less experienced, and some just plain stupid. I think Lens have brought together a unique blend of ppl and the board's going great. If serious questions need to be asked or addressed, there are those that can give serious answers.
So rant and rave on!

It's our goal, both Lens and the rest of the AP team that moderate these boards to try and find a balance...We are all in this business to make $$$$, but we all need a break sometime to kick back and have a little fun with fellow webmasters. We want this board to be a place that has a mix of work and play. We don't want it to become a spamfest, but we also want regular webmasters here to be able to tell people about what they are doing...without being hounded for spam...Spam is not a fellow WM who is a reg. or semi-reg. announcing something they are doing...Just like it isn't spam if I reccomend something to a thread w/a referer code. Now, if it's my 1st or 2nd post be aware, be we want to be a bit open to reg. webmasters then some boards, but not as wide open as others, we're trying to make a spot in the middle, cause the middle is always best
