code question

i have the affiliate html code in a txt form box, then another txt form box for the person to enter their affiliate code into,

i want them to be able to press that button and have it replace the XXXXX in the html code with the affiliate code they entered in the second box. so its ready to cut and paste.. know what i mean.

whats the j-s code to do that.
