Converting Exits

someone recently convinced me to throw an exit on one of my sites that gets some SE traffic.

i made the exit pop directly into tour 1 of the sponsor.

not doing so good even though its a great sponsor.

wonder what you guys think, can you suggest a sponsor that does well off exit hits?

should i make one of those HPA's to pop instead of sending directly into tour?

i dont usually deal with popups, so i dont know how to make the best of it.

You will need to do some testing to get an idea of what people who leave your site are looking for.

What niche are you trying to sell on the main site and what niche on the exit?

Do you have to start a thread on EVERY single possible topic? Do you see anyone sitting here saying: Hey guys, over here at Adult.com we just threw up an exit console and it converts like shit, what should I do?

Just use some common sense!

good point. sucks that i cant say niche here. i have learned the more i tell people on this board, the worst off i am, so ....


but that is a good point. it is all targetted SE traffic, i try to sell them on my site with a targetted sponsor, then on exit they get hit with something a bit different.

i figured if they wanted the niche they came there for, they would have signed up before seeing my exit.

ok i guess theres only so much you can tell me without knowing the niche and how im getting the traffic, so i will narrow the question.

is it better to pop into a tour directly? or use one of those little popup ad's?

Pop to a box with a few niches, then jump into a tour once you've filtered them a bit...

pop the free ezine mag etc of the pay niche you are trying to promote.
If you r selling hardcore pop hard,cumshot,blowjob ezines or mags.

Poping a tour isn't the best way to do it. You're basically sending a blind hit to a tour. Not to mention a tour is big and slow loading.

Pop a console with some links to various niches including a few targeted to the SE traffic you're getting. Then pop to FreeEzine/TicketCash etc..

But don't pop 120K tours as an exit???????????

And if you really want to maximize things then have the links on your consoles lead to Half page ads for the site and have those have exits as well. Filter, exit, filer, exit etc..
