Ok, my server is with Bluegravity and here is what I need to say
I love Bluegravity
yes I pay more than most people however,,,
I check galleries all day long and not approve about 40% because it opens to slow
I run a lot of scripts, tgp's etc etc, I get on the hun a lot and do Radio Station Interviews, my server has to hold when I get on a radio show which is going to hit me with 100k hits per 15 minutes
I never ever had a down problem with them
They have a kickass tech department, are very knowledgable and work very fast in getting stuff done for me
I don't know anything about servers (basic stuff) and when I need to install anything they are right there helping me in 0 time doing it
They are available 24/7
They know their shit, don't talk shit
They were voted Number 5 of best hosts on the net
Ok, now go ahead and flame them, there are lots of huge companies who have their server on Bluegravity and you
Get what you pay for
xoxoxo

Uhm, actually our new pricing is on http://www.xxxhosting.com and has been for quite some time. As low as $1.50/GB for shared/virtual hosting, and about $0.50 - $0.75/GB on dedicated hosting ($150/mbit - $200/mbit depending on usage).
If you want Cogent bandwidth we can get you that garbage for a nickel per GB. If you're not able to push more than 1 GB/mo then YES we absolutely charge $5.00 per GB since you're a customer that requires the most support.
We're also using Sprint/UUNET connectivity which is the most expensive on the market - but they're the two best backbones in the world.
Pricing is about to be updated on www.bluegravity.com as well since we re-negotiated our contracts. Haven't had a chance to change them on the site yet so we've been sending everyone to xxxhosting.com.
Go ahead and put your sites up on a Cogent provider. Great idea.
And - we don't limit the number of domains you can host. It's called a Domain Quota. There are a certain number of unique IPs included for free. Anything over that is $0.50/mo, and we'll be knocking that down to $0.25/mo shortly.
There is no charge or limit (aside from hardware limitations) to the number of domains you can add to shared/unique IP space. since ARIN bills us yearly for addresses, we have to pass that fee along to customers.

I have hosted my things with Blue Gravity about 3 years and I'm still with them. I have only good experiences. I'm willing to pay the reasonable price - which might be a bit higher than other available solutions - when everything runs smoothly. Absolutely great service.
I have been on Blue Gravity for a couple of years now and I am not going anywhere. You get what you pay for. Those of you too stupid to see that, go ahead and sign up with Candid or someone similar and see what happens.
the first post had nothing to do with the quality or customer service of Blue Gravity, just the price. And in this market it was WAY overpriced. As u see from Tom's post and the email they sent out, they were trapped in an old bandwidth deal - and you were overpaying because of that deal. It's been renegotiated so prices look to be cut in half.
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
