Age Verification: Possible Solution

So regarding the UK age verification laws soon to be coming into effect. It is confusing and lots of site owners are unsure what to do.

I had this idea this morning that I think could work really well.

Why doesn't someone create a website that was like a porn portal. All they do is create the site and offer a life time membership to it. So to join this site you would have to go through the process of verifying your age and might have to pay a small fee for that. When you have had your age verified and have joined the site you won't have to verify your age again. Because in the member section of this site are links to lots of other sites that you can join without verifying your age. So there are tours to these sites that are not SFW. Just like our normal tours. There will be a join link to join any of the sites. There can be video previews and samples.

So the idea is that this new site someone creates is just set up to verify someone's age and then that person can join and is a member for life. He - or she! - can then view other websites with adult images and previews that can't be shown to unverified people. They can simply join a site of their liking the usual way through CCBILL, Epoch, ect...

And the person who owns the site can charge anyone who wants to list their site there a fee. Either a monthly fee or yearly fee or a one-off fee.

Let's say someone creates such a site. I would be happy to pay a fee to have my sites listed on it. On the join pages of my sites I would just have some text explaining about age verification (for UK surfers) and tell them to join the site and get age verified and then they can see adult previews for my sites and join whenever they like. They would be able
to see the updates page for one of my sites like Only Looking:

Soon I will have to remove that updates page for UK viewers but I can still keep it up on the net and update it. It's just that I'll have to hide it from UK surfers.

I think it's a great idea but unfortunately not something I could create for various reasons.

Something like this might exist but not in such a simple way as my idea. It's so easy for everyone to understand.

So - who's going to make a lot of money and create this site!

You think about it as surfers go over their decision to join a website for weeks, doing their due diligence, etc. But in reality, its mostly horny surfers who join...they see a video they like, get horny, want to jerk off and quickly pay to see the whole video. If it takes too long, they just give up on it and jerk off anyway, customer lost.

There some truth in what you say but there are thousands of people who join websites on a regular basis so this would appeal to them. Anyone who just wants to join a site instantly because he's horny might not bother if there is lots of age verification to go through. So we can't do anything about that surfer. But he's also someone who most likely joins websites on a regular basis so the new site I'm suggesting should have some appeal to him as well.

If you're a paysite owner, you should have had AV in place for a month or so now as per the regs. Tube sites are in a different tier so have until later this month to comply.

What you're describing isn't a bad idea but its pretty much the same as any members area upsell which most paysites have had for years.

Thanks but I think it's so much different to an upsale. This is all about verifying someone's age and then them not having to verify it again to join lots of other sites.
Also age verification doesn't come into effect in the UK until July 25th as far as I know.

Yes, I think it's a very good idea. You just sign up to the site and are age verified. Then you have a life time subscription to that site. All for a nominal fee. Then you don't need to go through the age verification progress again to join lots of other sites. And you'll also be able to preview listed sites adult tours instead of the SFW tours. If such a site existed I'd pay to have my sites listed on it as then I wouldn't have to do any age verification myself. On the join pages of my sites it would have info about the site and recommend they join it and then they can join my site and lots of other sites without ever having to go through age verification once. I think the idea is really simple for everyone to understand. No one wants to have to go through age verification every time they want to join a site. I think my idea is a lot better than Yoti and easier for everyone to understand.

That is pretty much the exact way that the old AVS sites worked, I think.

We would build what was essentially a free site and it would go behind the AVS doorway.

I am not sure what verification they had back then but the user did have to break out the credit card in order to access dozens of sites.

Not sure why it is not being implemented any more.

Adult Verification Service: Sets up a password-protected entrance. This is used to keep minors (and those without credit cards) out of your adult site. Often used as a source of traffic as well as making money from selling memberships into the AVS service.

This week we will be building a couple small projects
for traffic generation and to add to your generation arsonal.
Everything should be made for serach engine (SE) submits

1. TGP templates
Start by visualizing the traffic flow of the surfers as they come to your page
Top to bottom
The first thing you want to do is have them see your first sponsor ad
So make a colored table with contrasting text color
Next is where you place recips. on a recip gallery
Now you have to decide how many pics/thumbs your going to use
12-20 would be a nice standard
Place approx. half of the thumbs next
They can be in a table or centered or even a pattern
Then another text ad for a sponsor
Important note: do NOT make it implie they are going to other galleries
Or even to get other pics. This is blind linking and will cost you listings
Make the text short and not to long, but tell them they are going to a sponsor
And make sure they know its Hot and the best thing since sliced bread
There are NO banners on this template. You will adjust the text to the sponsor you are advertising
Do NOT use other text on this template. If it doesn't make you money don't have it
Ok, next you place the rest of the thumbs.
Now a small link into your other site (your filter page or hub is fine)
2nd Template
12-20 pics/thumbs
One text ad and one banner ad with text on this gallery
Make one as the topper for the pics and one for the bottom for the pics
Get creative but not blind!
NO large or large odd sized banners under 20k, best under 15k for the banner
Make sure you tell the surfer that these are sample pics from the sponsor your using
This one is left so you get creative and unique.
Link straight to the pics only and not html pages on both these templates

2. AVS basic site
This will be a basic AVS NON-exclusive reg. site
Pick a catagory/niche
Pick your favorite AVS service and create a Front page to sale that AVS service
And your niche that your building for
Sell it hard. Think of this as your personal splash sales page, as it will be
NO ads on the front page except for the AVS service, You may offer a premium service of thiers
As well as the reg. one you really are selling, IF your allowed to and in this position
With the AVS service you choose. Do NOT ask me or the board.
This is a personal issue you will have to take up with your choice of AVS service.
If you do NOT understand about the premium upsale issue
Just skip it, as you will as you get more into AVS site building
It's one of those time and have to be there things so don't get stressed about it
Make sure you have some unlinked sample pics(low bandwidth)
Use a graphic program and make them fancy looking
Do NOT just throw them in raw bordered template and expect them to work
The AVS site
Front page, and two gallery pages with 15+ pics each and two sponsor links each
Sound a little like the galleries above don't they
Just edit them so copies can serve as the inside gallerys
no main page, gallery one links to gallery two (this is a basic site)


The real tie in
One of the sponsor links on each of your TGP galleries will be for this AVS site
Advertise the site and its theme on the TGP page, NOT the AVS service
That comes on your splash/front page
It's ok to use the same pics on both
As when they get into the AVS service they will most likely get lost
In the large amount of sites they offer
Target everything to the niche your selling
You can make mirror Front pages for recips. to sites that allow AVS sites
Mirror the TGP galleries at least 3 times, OTHER than the no recip. one
And use 3-4 recips. on each of them.
Submit both TGP galleries and the front splash page to at least 10 SE's
Repeat for other niches
Enjoy traffic from TGP's, Link lists, SE's, and internal AVS link lists
What more for traffic generation could you ask out of a project

the portal would have to be damn good to bring in enough traffic to do this without able to be seen, or AVS seen from any other UK portal

Yes it definitely would work for a review site as you suggest. If someone did set up a site based on my idea it would only be for UK traffic. After age verification comes into effect I can still show the normal tour and adult images on my sites to anyone who visits it. But if someone from the UK visits one of my sites they will just see a SFW tour.

So for them, on the join page of my sites, I would recommend they join the site that I'm suggesting. If they don't want to do that then they wouldn't want to go through any age verification that I could set up myself. Everyone will have to be age verified. Quite a few people won't want to go through that process so that will be a drop for us all in UK sales.

But anyone who is willing to go through the age verification process should be happy to do it through the site I'm proposing be created because they know once they have been age verified they will then be able to join lots of adult sites and see the normal adult previews and tours instead of the SFW tours. If they go through any age verification I could set up I'm assuming that's just for access to my site and they would have to go through the same process every time they wanted to join an adult site which is crazy.

For me it would just be easier to direct someone to join the site I'm proposing be set up rather than to have age verification set up myself.

Ideally age verification should just be a one off thing. Like getting a passport. There has to be some way to set it up so that once someone has been age verified they can use that verification to join any other adult sites in the future. Just like having an adult ID card.

Yeah that's true but it involves another fee to pass tokens with Yoti when I asked them.
