People using telegram pretty much never follow up
I noticed that.
I explain that for 2 reasons :
1. Low Barrier to Entry → Low Commitment
Telegram is easy to set up—no strict verification, no need for a professional profile, and usernames can be changed at will.
Many people create accounts impulsively (for a quick deal, a one-time chat, or even anonymity) but don’t use it as a primary communication tool.
Telegram feels more "disposable" to some.
2. Higher Ratio of Scammy Users
Telegram’s privacy features (e.g., anonymity, encryption) attract both legitimate users and bad actors (scammers, flaky freelancers, crypto hustlers, etc.).
Scammers thrive there because:
It’s easy to create/abandon accounts.
Groups/channels facilitate spammy or shady offers.
No built-in reputation system.
Even legit users might adopt a more casual (or unprofessional) approach compared to email or Slack.
