I bought a theme with an unlimited license for my websites, and I was using it on over 20 sites. Last week, they banned my account, and all my sites went offline. They did not honor the contract and didn’t refund my money.

Don’t trust this person; they sell you a product, then take away your rights, block you, and ignore your emails. It’s DISHONEST!

Why would they do this?

I mean once you've purchased their themes or plugins and received them, it's not like they have to deliver any more products or services to you that they are looking to shirk.

All I can surmise is that there is abuse of their unlimited licence terms, maybe reselling products or providing them to third parties through design services or similar breach.

Something seems off, as they are still updating their products regular. So, again I ask why would a merchant piss off a customer without any ripping off, a customer who is likely to repeat purchase in the future, for no reason?

Maybe I should have asked him if he did the verification process.

I was starting to doubt cause I can't read for certain if the theme he bought was also from WP-Script, as some here have a 3rd party theme, and then associated with the second post in this post (license comment) maybe he just triggered an automated red flag.

In any case, he should be helped by WP-Script asap, no one loves to have his stuff banned.

I see the same, but still see unlimited in dashboard for existing purchases, so looks they've changed the site licence limit to <10 this for new orders. I think people were taking the piss reselling and including themes and plugins as part of their own design service.

just checked my account, its not banned. yet anyway.

support is what they are lacking, even for answering tickets for presales, i have found people leaving questions for presales without getting answers. waiting weeks and even months for a reply.

(i had a ticket going back multiple years no answered about product missing from my account)

i have been with them before they were even called wpscript when they just had a single theme and 3 plugins.

ive never really needed support, other than missing product from my account, etc i had to buy the unlimited package just because support would not get back to me after years of tickets being sent.

ive had several clients submit support requests and never getting answers.

its frustrating for new customers who want basic information and not getting replies.

i brought up a topic about not providing support, but still taking $$$ in sales.

they admitted on another forum, that they had no one doing support, and no plans on it because its not in their budget.

you would think for the amount they make on sales they would have the ability to hire someone.

I purchased a license for two themes, I purchased it directly from their website, I still have proof of payment. I had been using it since 2020 and they banned my account, they don't respond to emails or tickets, nothing. They are dishonest.

one thing i dont like is the api calls to their servers for it to function.

lets see one day *IF* not saying it will happen, but if they go out of business or disappear. everyone who bought, im assuming its in the 10k+ users will be out of luck since it requires the wp-script server up to even work, even for the themes, they have hundreds of api calls just to render the html output on the front end.

who thought it was a good idea to make a http get request to wp-script hust for displayinbg a <div> elenent ?

no that im aware off on xbiz forums, they mentioned its not in their budget to offer support, even though im sure they can afford it with the amount of sales they make.
