Business Google August Core Update

How has it gone for you? Google has actually stated that this update was to fix some of the mistakes of the past two, which took a sledgehammer to most independent and niche blogs, no matter their quality, in favor of Reddit, LinkedIn, big brands and the like.

But my 16 year old money making blog has been hit for a third time. Despite that, some of my other smaller blogs are getting traffic again. One that I've been posting entirely AI text on for a year has bounced right back.

No rhyme or reason to it at all.

I was told Google doesn't make mistakes and that they determine if your site has value or not?

That was quick. AI was supposed to die permanently and that was the end of that. Google is funny.

Nah, the almighty Google has a plan and is always right. We just don't always know what it is because us mere mortals aren't wise enough.

But seriously, thanks for your report. Not much change here. One AI blog I have has gotten a slight uptick in traffic since that update.

You always need to keep reading regarding Google updates. I've talked to many who blame themselves or have fired their inhouse SEO and or marketing team due to what these updates have done unaware of what's going on.

They hinder loading time. Why, I have no clue? If they want people to use their ads, it would be best not to hinder the website's ability to rank. It would also be best not to hinder the "user experience," a phrase google spits out like a mantra.

Mainstream sites (blogs and regular sites) were decimated by the last two Updates. Some sites lost 85% of their traffic and were on the verge of closing down after years of success.

That was 'mainstream' sites complaining! So Adult got hit even harder. I think it will take a month or more to see the real effects of this latest Update.

What do you prefer to use aside from google ads in mainstream? I know about ClickBank, CJ, SAS but they are much older programs and I'm looking for something that is new, has good tools and converts well.

Have you checked out Facebook Groups? If we are talking mainstream, and perhaps an older audience (over 40) then FB may be a good choice.

As for Google ads I would wait until the now official monopoly pulls its' head out of its' own alphabet ass and realize they are cannabilizing their own product (Google ads) by sending people to Reddit, etc instead of, you know, displaying the fucking ads! Grrrr!

Not sure about that, it may be just b uying ads to display to groups. I do not use FB but heard others do. Will investigate further...
