Ive tried most of the ones mentioned above and I have to say that ACDSee works the best.

I love the fact that you can arrange the pics in the order you want through drag and drop, hit ctrl+A (select all), F2 (rename), and wallah! New renumbered order...

If you dont care about this then just go for the free irfanview.

                          Nothing beats Unlead Photo Explorer.

You can move photos around and they get renamed to stay at the place you moved them.Great for sorting but you can rename files with multiple filters and settings also.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

can u can record and save an 'Action' for use in batch processing multiple folders like ImageReady does? ImageReady is making me do things in two steps, if ACDSEE or any of these others let me save 'actions' I'll try them. Software needs to be able to resize(enlarge) and have decent filters for adjusting colors, contrast and sharpening.

                            thanks
