Hi everyone, is anyone else experiencing a significant decrease in link count on Google Search Console out of nowhere? It might be a bug, first time I've seen this.

Yes, I remember! We used to see exact keywords for each page. And the HTML Improvements tool was great for fixing meta descriptions and title tags. Those were the good old days! Now, with AI overview, it's a whole new game.Comment

Have you looked on Google Search Console under Performance? Scroll down until you see a tab called Queries?
Also on Overview go to the top right where you see Search Console Insights it tells you stuff like:
Your most popular content
Top traffic channels
Google Search:: How visitors find your site on Google
Referring links from other websites
Stuff like that - there is a large amount of data that maybe they moved around but keep in mind that Search Console gets their info directly from Google which can be different than Google Analytics. Long story but if you're needing SEO and want to know more let me know.Comment

That is very peculiar since the majority of clients I have with search console an analytics their DA goes up sometimes by 2 points in a few months but there are a lot o other things to do SEO wise for that to happen. Never have I seen a drop in ranking due to search console alone. Do it yourself SEO is never a good idea or using 3rd party SEO softwareComment

It looks like this issue has been solved
Is it really true that submitting your website to google search console could backfire on you?Comment
