    Question for Iphone users

I have an iPhone 14 max pro. When I make a 4k video 24fps and move it to the PC it does not look good compared to how it looks on the phone. When I do the same with iphoneX, the quality of the video looks good, even better on the PC.

    Why is that?

There's nothing wrong, it's the same here when I made a video from my iPhone and transferred my editor the content to his Windows.

Be interesting to see how it displays on a Mac computer... iMac or Mac Mini - Just for comparison...

Since I was gonna edit & upload the video to my youtube channel, I guess my best options now in order to have decent video quality are to redo the video or buy an Apple laptop/desktop

Well, I just uploaded it to google drive, it looks solid when I open it on my laptop (much better than when I transfer it from the phone), will try to download it later and see if its any better

Your video player may not be optimized to play 4K videos. Try a different player.

Also double check the file size. When you transfered it over, did you compress it? Did you use a 3rd party server or is it a direct copy of the file?

Also, what kind of monitor and video card are you using? Could you have a problem with screen resolution, color depth, frame rate, etc?

Also, can you try an experiment? Shoot some content, then shoot it again but with HDR disabled and see if it looks better. For me, sometimes colors look weird when using HDR. I turned it off when I don't absolutely need it.

Video formats are the same across all platforms as far as I know, so if you see a difference somewhere, it is due to a setting somewhere.

i would use icloud.com login you can access your photos and videos via the web. you can then download the raw original file.

It will be ok! Check my video which I recorded with iPhone 12 (the basic edition, no Pro no Pro Max).

When I gave the content to my editor when she transferred to her Win desktop and saw it I was shocked because I saw the same quality as u wrote. But in the end, it's working fine.

But yes on iPhone u see more clearly and HD quality than on Win desktop.

Maybe somewhere it's converting to non-HDR and ruining the color? Sometimes that happens like when using One Drive.

I have a solid Asus laptop. It can edit regular 4k videos, but it does not have the requirements to edit PRO RES videos. My videos are usually from 3 to 10 GB.

I'm using Movavi editor and their converter when needed.

Could be the HDR thing but I realized I had outdated drivers, after updating them I was able to download the original videos to PC (they looked really good), then after I did the most recent video I tried moving it to PC and had the same problem. So I'm starting to believe it's a USB cable.

I know it sounds weird but after fucking around with a cable for a while I was able to transfer videos to a PC and they looked as same as on iphone.
