adding header/footers to all html pages

adding header/footers to all html pages.. just like the free hosts.. but can ya do that with jsut .htaccess?

Best thing I've found for just such a thing, is to use a Library object. Then when you wanna change something in either one, just change it in the library, and all your pages will automatically be updated.

Yes, there are Apache modules that can do that and they can be controlled from .htaccess.

or do a sitewide source search/replace for [body] -> [body][headercode]
and
[/body] -> [footercode][/body]

try php, all you need to do is adding a single line like:

<?php include("header.html"); ?>

put this line up to your page(s) where you want your header appear...

<?php include("footer.html"); ?>

put this line up to your page(s) where you want your footer appear...

if you're on a paid hosting i'm sure latest version of php's already installed. enjoy!
