    Google adwords select

    Has ANYONE ever run a successful campaign with these guys?

    I'm on my 6th attempt and this time I get

    ~~~~~~
    Action taken: Suspended - Pending Revision
    Issue(s): Promotional Language, Superlatives
    ~~~~~~

    OH MY GOD! People might want to use 'Promotional Language'
    in an advertisement...

    I used 'Hottest' and now they are asking for proof that 'Hottest'
    is a justified word. Anybody got a sham award company on the
    shelf that they can deem the site the 'Hottest' in an official
    capacity?

    This AVS pays my mortgage!

    If you think Adwords is bad because they're declining your adcopies, you should try Overture, they'll deny much more and make you feel like you're worthless. Don't you just love PPC advertising.

    I play with Google.

      I finally gave up with overture a LONG time ago because of that.

      Google isn't so bad although it seems some 'reviewers' will accept things others reject.
      Ignorance is never bliss.

            bending to their guidelines is worth it - it's google - your listing comes up on the most popular search engine in the world...and it's good trafffic too

                  Adwords is bizarre...it is really dependant on the reviewer. But if you use simple language you should be fine, just avoid words like hottest or best, etc.

                  It also seems that the first week is the make/break for adwords...if your ad makes it past that first week it (including click percentages) then you are set.

                  Cheers!

                  Luke

                        Give Sex.Com a try. We are far more lenient on ad copy because we have a 100% adult focus. As long as your copy is targeted to what your site offers, you are good to go

                        Only $25 to start an account and I will match 25% on your initial deposit if you deposit due to reading this post

                          overture is a total mind fuck. They accept the same shit one day and decline it the next.

                          They have a totally fluid review process.

                          They piss on you.
