Tech linkon a non https site

Hi, I was wondering what is your opinion regarding the effectiveness and quality of the link coming from the site without HTTPS.

The link is relevant in my niche, but, no https. Is it worth paying for it?

    thanks

I think they are afraid of problems coming during the transition. But on this site, it is WordPress, there are plugins available for a smooth transition.

I have one that is still http and I am scared shitless that Google will see it as a new site and I will lose traffic. Looking around for how to transition properly scares me more. Everyone has their own 301 redirect code (for htaccess) that they swear is the right one, and there are multiple stories of webmasters claiming they never got their traffic back.

Also trade scripts won’t track https hits unless u have the proper meta tag to allow it to pass the referral I noticed this when I woukd send few thkusvd hits to a gallery from my updates and nothing was being tracked until I added this
