because I have never understood how search engines work or have been able to get search engine traffic, if I just create sites where the keyword and domain name matches the search term that I want, and I just upload those pages and leave them there, will they eventually get spidered and get traffic, or are they juust sitting there dead?

it's not quite that simeple. But I do that all the time to test different ideas. Playing the search engines is a science in and of itself. The only way to earn your PhD in that is to play around endlessly and experiment. It takes time but the investment is worth it!Comment
