Avoid Clickaine!
Posting as a heads up to anyone contemplating working with Trafifc Network, Clickaine.com.
Around a month ago we integrated clickaine in to our in house ad server and began selling impressions to them. Our ad server effectively opens us up to bids from multiple networks at once and then works in the normal bidding system way.
After around 2 days we were seeing Clickaine receiving impressions and all looked good. Around 5 days later I check back in and my total revenue is less after 7 days than it was after 2.
I reached out and asked if there was an issue with my account where I was informed there had been a problem on Clickaine side with the ads and the revenue had been refunded to all advertisers. To this day I don't know what the issue was and our dev team was not involved in the fix, further underlining, as was admitted multiple times, that the issue was on their side.
I asked if I would also be refunded given the issue was on Clickaine side where I was not so politely informed that there was no money to refund me. Effectively I had paid thousands of dollars to the advertisers for an issue that was on Clickaine's side.
Any attempt to escalate was shut down and the customer service I received was the worst I have ever experienced in the industry.
There's too many instances to highlight but one that stood out was when I told them it was actually a matter of principle that the side who caused the error should really pick up the cost. This was used to highlight how I should be happy they have accepted the issue was on their side and that if money wasn't the issue, why was I still pursuing it.
Anyway, it cost me thousands of dollars but hopefully anyone reading this won't be as unlucky. One of the most amateur businesses I have ever come across in our industry with the rudest employees. AVOID!
