Okay, my grandkids are too young for Imgur, so I can't ask them so here I am.

I went ahead and installed the app but I am not sure how the hell to use it. I am on Android so I click the camera icon as instructed; it then asks if it can have access to my photos which I grant because how else would it work, then it acts like it is trying to store every photo I have and that's where my battery runs out.

Is this standard for the first time? Any way to just share straight from the camera? What the fuck am I doing wrong?

When you get to that point where you think it's storing all your pics (clicking that camera button on the bottom in the middle), thats where you get to chose which pics and/or videos you want to upload to imgur. Click on the ones you want to share.

There should also be "take photo" and "take video" buttons on that page too. Top left, first 2 squares. That's where you share straight from the camera.

If you have that many where it's killing your battery (never experienced that), try with your phone still on the charger and at least halfway charged.
