Cams Affiliate program

Hey,

We will be launching 'new' thing in cam industry - I think it hasn't been done yet, and if launched properly, it should be a great success

We will want to launch affiliate program for it too. Question is:

Is it better to choose one of systems that are already created (ready solution), or create something totally new?

We would like the system to be as friendly/easy to use/intuitive as possible.

Maybe you (affiliates, or people who have participated in creation of such program) could share some tips?

What should we remember about, what is crucial for affiliate program to be succesfull (if we consider that 'product' itself is great, have good reviews, etc)?

Micro niches work best know a days. Also a good competitive life revshare commission.
Make sure affiliates get commission credit from all billing cascades..
Have lots of promo material available from the start.

We are using NATS they are really good

Don't use Nats. It allows too many ways of shaving and being stupid. It's hard to use for deep linking.
It is better to have a more transparent system for affiliates so they can track sales and where they come from. Nats can"t do that.

Absolutely disagree. NATS is the best.

I will skip most affiliate programs that develop their own affiliate platform. Most are a disaster, they are missing most features that NATS has, and I've ran into so many issues with them.

And it is way easier to shave with a custom coded platform than with NATS.

That being said, the opinion above is mostly about paysites, it's rare for cam sites to use NATS.

I only know of one webcam program that uses Nats and they always payout less than what stats say blaming Nats for it. They also skim with Nats. Just disconnecting it from billing for a week or a month (easy as in pushing a button) and it won't record any commissions while they still process payments.

Either way. For a cam affiliate program you need to be able to directly deep link to a model or their galleries, etc. You also need to show what models the customers are spending money on (that's the most important part of webcam stats). In addition you need white labels. For all that a custom solution is needed.

And yes, deeplinking is available with NATS for Networks.

Correct on all accounts BigFurry.....that's why NATS for Networks is the perfect solution for cam sites.

You don't tend to see any cam programs on nats..

Also if you make a cam program make sure to have a solid live iframe ad tool and a generous cookie
