Basic WordPress Theme Needed

I’m looking for a theme for a blog. Left sidebar and one posts column. No graphics for header, just plain text right now. Simple sidebar with categories, contact, archives and other links. Plain white background, dark purple lines, Georgia font and that’s it. I’ve looked for free themes but all are fancy or with huge header graphics and annoying three column splash boxes under the header.

Any suggestions for a free theme site?

Try generatepress or neve.
both are free in basic version on the wordpress directory.

Thanks. Most “free” theme sites aren’t quite free. I found one theme I thought I’d like but it came preloaded with links that you can’t remove unless— of course — you pay.
