He hasn't been talking to me much of late. He's had a girlfriend the past two months. He wouldn't talk to me about her. But I broke down his defenses Monday afternoon and put him on the IM couch.
Our hero came to the realization that sex workers, strippers and nude models don't tend to make for the most stable relationships.

DUC: i've heard you mention them once or twice...
Dig420: the head of my school, Rorion Gracie, started the UFC to show the effectiveness of the Gracie style of Jiu-Jitsu
Dig420: Royce Gracie, his brother, defeated all comers for about 3 years until all other martial arts had to incorporate Gracie ground fighting techniques in order to compete
Dig420: Royce is about 170 lbs, and he was fighting huge monstrous tough guys and making them submit easily
DUC: amazing
DUC: there should be a book about them
Dig420: but the whole no-holds-barred fighting scene comes directly from the Gracie family, expressly to prove that their art works in real fights against all types of fighters

Dig420: I dunno... I think if you have two people who have equal amounts of devotion to each other it reduces the drama greatly
Dig420: or at least it's an inconsequential amount of drama
Dig420: when you have one that loves far more than the other, that's where you're going to have some major, major pain

DUC: you broke up with her? I had a girlfriend who'd break up with me every month or two.
Dig420: I didn't even know we were in an exclusive relationship until she flew off the handle when my ex picked up the phone

Dig420: but THEN she went out on a date and wouldn't pick up the phone all night
Dig420: and I just decided that this was a sign of great trouble ahead
