Video embed test

We going to start embedding our videos in our tour and member's area but I want to get an idea of what platforms can/can't view them.

TEST EMBEDDED VIDEO CLIP

I'm really wanting to stay with .wmv because I can't get close to the same quality to file size ratio with .mpg

If you have a second, please let me know if you can/can't play it and your connection type, OS, and media player. THX

So it looks like it's working fine for anyone using XP and WMP9 with a DSL or Cable connection (that's what I've tested it on here and it works fine here too.)

Plays fine for me too .. XP, WMP 9 and Cable modem.

I looked at your HTML source code and it looks like you are not streaming the video, just using HTML download.

We found that to be a problem with slow connections. Also,
you should find somebody who still has an old version of Windows Media Player version 6 to see if it works. Most of the geeks on this board have the latest hardware and software but many of your surfers do not.

Yeah, I'm just doing a "psuedo stream", I don't want to have to get into setting up a streaming server and all that jazz. The only problem I anticipate is buffering for people with dial-up connections. Thanks for your feedback.

I recently ran across the embedded video of www.livemercial.com and thought it sure would work great with porn. Looks like its just compressed flash, sure streams quick and smooth. Anyone doing anything like this for porn?
