But is this a dump? anyone know? looking for something close to show and nice..

Rent a car...Park it in the hotel driveway.

Hell of a lot cheaper too.

The diplomat is a great hotel..

One of the best locations they've held an Internext/IA-2000 show at yet.

I need another room too.. but they're definitely sold out. If anyone has any extra rooms, please let me know.

Just pop up to one of the hotels in Ft. Lauderdale. They have a bunch of nice ones. Or Boca for that matter. Or South Beach.

I thought the diplomat had a sister hotel about a mile away last year when it sold out, I think many people stayed there.
Just spend 95% of your time at the diplomat and it won't matter where you sleep.

Drink so much you don't know which end is up. Take whatever hotel's room key you're in, duct tape that and $20 to your forehead, and when it's time to go home to bed yell at the hotel "CAB!"

You'll be OK.
