Does anyone here use the autogallery sql script, if you do do you know if it puts my pressure on server memory than the standard cgi version.

Any script that uses MySQL will be easier on your server than scripts that use flat text files. Flat text scripts can be HUGE resource hogs. DM TGP is better than autogallery SQL in my opinion though
