Switching to Xenforo is already in process.

1.Remove search time limit.

1. Sig is topic which can be approached by many different ways. But big size banners is bad idea because it can disrupt reading experience.
2.I was thinking about this, in form of sticky thread and mail newsletter, but on weekly or bi-weekly bases in order to avoid saturation effect.

Add @ mention functionality paired w/ email notifications + borrow Facebook's global on-site notification function with a counter badge on it (replace globe/bell icon with a middle finger GFY icon for kicks) and watch engagement skyrocket

Put a clickable icon at the left of each thread, defining it. "Adult", "Mainstream", "SEO" "Legal" etc...

When you click on this icon, you only get listed threads from this subjects.

You should also put Mainstream subforum into "Fucking Around and Program Discussion".

Since Paxum suck with communicating errors or problems and ”only” come on here to toot their horn about good news, there should be a way to gather or sort out Paxum/payment related threads. Especially helpful for those who does not frequent the forum every single hour of the day.

A thumbs up or ”agree” function would also be good! Now there is NO type of ”reputation” here other than numbers of post and potentially join date. But some members who joined last year, might have good things to say and should get credit. Now it is too hard to distinguish between good or bad posters and spot ”the village fool”.

I have run Xenforo since its inception.

Such a mod does indeed exist. You can set it to "soft" delete a thread set by a negative threshold.

add a visited link color in mobile.

make the mobile reply box more like the desktop one,
or at least add buttons for the img/youtube/url wrappers.

fix youtube embeds in mobile to prevent the side scrolling.

IMO, one of the best features of Xenforo is the ignore feature.

There is also a mod that allows you to force 2 posters to ignore each other. Comes in handy at times.

Instead of splitting different Adult Business subtopics in different sections, add the appropriate labels to each. (And moderators should actively add labels too in case some threads get mislabeled.)
Let users click the Labels to filter the threads.

I think what you just did by merging different sections helps activity. Too many small sections will just make some of them deserted.

But if the Cam section is intended for cam performers rather than affiliates/programs, that's quite different then and needs a separate section IMO.

I do a lot of business over PMs and am constantly cleaning those out because of the extremely low limit available. I don't know how XF operates, but until the transition, if you guys could increase that limit it would be very helpful. This is a business board after all, we should be able to send each other messages fairly easily.

I personally dont ignore anyone. I would feel that I was in a vacuum if EVERYONE I did not agree with 'disappeared' completely...

Remember that South Park episode, where Cartman gets 'fat shamed' and they decide to moderate his twitter account for him, so he only hears positive things? Its kinda like that to me...

That said though, if people want to 'dilute' the entire GFY experience, and turn it into their own personal little safespace, where everyone agrees with and thinks the same way as them, then that's fine - It's their business and their choice... But it's certainly not something I would use personally myself

1. You have some perennial doxxers who keep coming back - ban them quicker. give soft mod to someone so that it doesn't take 5 days and 1000 threads for a madman spammer/doxxer to be banned.

2. Soft ban please for unverified serious accusations (the so called "proof or ban"). This discourages false character insults or business accusations, which otherwise remain on the internet forever

People won't do business if some shit for brains will dox them and post all their personal information on an adult site, or lob false accusations.

Bad idea!.
Both of these were abused in the past by someone, who is thankfully, on summer vacation. 'He' would change the thread title after being called out. Or, 'he' would stay logged in so 'he' could come along and add that stupid shit about being right again when someone would post a rebuttal or call 'him' out.

I would suggest that you get auto logged out after 'xx' minutes though. There is no reason someone should be logged in for hours a day. To quote The Psychedelic Furs, "there's a world outside".

For as long as you can edit the thread, you can also edit the title...

Just click edit post, then select the little box that says 'advanced options; and the thread title is available to edit along with the text of the post...

Can't agree with the auto logout though... I mean my mac stays on 24 / 7 regardless of if Im sat at it or out and about. GFY is in one of my tabs. Why log me out?

I would suggest making it an all around cam/clip/industry model forum, tons and tons of models won't go near the cam sites these days due to the fact that they are full of disrespectful idiots... there has been a huge shift too in the way content is delivered these days and the sites like manyvids/adultcentro/onlyfans is where all the good content is...

I would also make a separate or sub-forum that is semi-private, a place for the models to congregate and interact with legit webmasters/affiliates/promoters without dealing with tons and tons of lewd and crude BS... make it a badge of honor on GFY to be allowed in there to interact with the models and ban everybody for life from it if they act like idiots in there... there has been a huge push of government forced censorship on the social media sites and girls are going out of biz and losing all their revenue sources... they are also scared to open their own instagrams due to the disresepct that is rampant right now...

basically they need their own forum where they are all treated like a human being and not a piece of meat...

I like this, or at least what some private CPA networks do with business references, etc. I only say that because there's a few who prefer anonymity that browse here often, but would never do the video call thing... while owning some of the biggest traffic networks in adult.

Nobody wants to talk about real business ideas / strategies with a bunch of beer money (if that) trolls around.

Yeah, my fitbit does this now and it's a pain in the ass.

I used to just refresh the page I was in, and get updated details. Now, say if I wanna enter my weight, after the first poo of the day, I click weight, but get to a login screen instead...

My login details are stored, so I don't have to type them, but I do have to click login. This takes me to the main dashboard, then I select weight again. Then I get where I wanted to be to begin with....

Thats a big enough delay to be a pain in the ass once a day. Heaven help the user experience on gfy if you wanna read / reply to a thread, click it and get to the login, which then takes you to the main page, from where you need to find the threads again, and then open it, and then.... Nahhh...

I agree. I like this idea of a VIP subforum. But it might be better to connect it to the upcoming reputation system than requiring IDs from people.
