    Overclocking help

Trying to push back an upgrade a couple of months by overclocking.

I'm a newbie and I can't seem to get it to work. I checked to see that the L1 bridges on my CPU were attached so I could change the settings, but I can't seem to change the FSB or multiplier settings

My system's 3 years old, but still usable.

      Asus A7V / AMD Duron 700

After reading some stuff on the net, it seems people have been able to get that chip up to 900-1000mhz.

To over clock you need to change your FSB

        [Front Side Bus]

You can see this in most Bios's
Increase it gradually by like 3-5 until the system becomes unstable, if you increase it to much then your highly likely to blow your cpu... [and mobo in one instance -_-]

Be v. careful and makesure you have proper cooling or your gonna fuck up your pc !
