Saving the Earth from destruction is a task bigger than the West can achieve unless there are huge changes.

We cannot continue to consume at the current rate. So cutting down on all production and buying from countries that don't reduce drastically is a Must Do action. Modern production consumes far too much and must slow down to manageable levels.

Cutting down on travel, both flying and automobiles. Fuel emissions destroy the air and ozone levels.

Cutting populations so what's left after global warming has stopped there is enough agriculturist land to support the remaining people.

Turn as much as possible to renewable energy sources, wind, solar, hydro and stop burning fossil fuels and come away from nuclear.

Don't tell me this costs too much. The alternative is the Earth slowly does a huge cull of everything that breaths and a lot of the plants.
