Software/script peeps are so funny.. They go from Free = 1000ppl and all features to $500 = 15k ppl. Even the message quota doesn't make sense in pricing.. Free = 500k $500 = 2m

I'm assuming the free is ad sponsored but still. Thats a huge jump in price.. Especially with no vid capabilities it appears.

You can use ChatKit for free with Laravel, you don't have to use Pusher, you can use your own server and it costs nothing.

Pusher.com just supplies a SAAS solution for companies who don't want to maintain their own infrastructure.

There's no ads in the base code, if you run it on your own server on your own application there's no ads, it's open source.

GFY chatrooms are long overdue. One chatroom for serious business talk and real-time tech advice. The other, a fucking around chatroom where people have the time of their lives mercilessly roasting each other.

If you think GFY is going downhill, this would probably revive it.

If you think that's a big leap in price, you should see Google Analytics free vs paid. Last time I checked the minimum price was $150k for the paid version.
