The licensing server is affecting this theme's ability to work.

Any advice to the developer for a work around solution that won't mess up websites if their server goes down?

This is such a fvcking stupid system... Now everyone's earning is affected because his server went down. So what happens when(God formids)he dies? Every one who is using his theme is fvcked?

This is not some kind of a dishonest advertising or a try to hijack the thread. Please consider it as an open message to all the software developers who read GFY.

Do you guys understand that if something will happen to you or to the domain of your licensing server, all your customers will be unable to use their scripts/programs anymore? I also love money (show me someone who don't), but I do understand that since I do all the job alone, if something happens to me or to my domain or if my server will be down, it will not affect my customers at all. The scripts they have paid me for will continue working w/o any problems.

Please think about it and maybe you will decide fix your licensing routines to avoid such problems in future.

These are my exact thoughts. I would even pay extra right now to have my theme unlocked and not calling back. It's a good theme, but the server thing sucks.

To make it worse, their support is closed and now the dashboard is saying that I am using the free version so my ads aren't showing and the customization that I did aren't showing either. Days of ad revenue down the drain and for the most inconceivable reason!!! I will be switching ASAP

Hasn't it happened to NATS years ago? TMM is a robust company so no problem with them. But running a serious business with tools that can stop working overnight because of a licensing server downtime is quite scary.

What we can NOT do now is:
1) Activate licence in new sites
2) Import videos
I am thinking about switching to other scripts.
Any suggestions guys?

In fact, if we could page Sly, maybe he would consider switching and possibly working out a contingency plan in case the unthinkable should happen (death, financials, deserting the project).

So like if something happens and the server is fucked maybe someone like Sly could have intervened on his behalf. Probably wouldn't be that hard to step in and keep the thing going.

Hard to say what his current issue is with the details he has provided on Twitter. If he is interested in making a switch, we do have a few servers open right now and could begin migration tomorrow. Of course migration would be dependent on whether or not his current server can be accessed or if he has a local/remote copy of all files as well.

If you switch to new theme, how can you import more videos? Are your existing videos playable with new theme?

Mechbunny doesn't "phone home" and client sites stay up regardless of the status of our servers - though what this guy should have done if he does want his script to phone home is is have incrementally updating license files grabbed at installation time then once every 7 days that expire after 10 days after issuing or something - that way there's a 3 day offset during which his server can be down.

He could've use a fail-safe where if his server doesn't respond, premium features continue working. This system with 1 point of failure is pure nonsense. Thousands of websites not working because 1 server went down.

I manually edited every post on the one site I have. I only had 80 videos on it.

The other site will still have the WP script because it has 1200 videos I'm not going to be manually touching or editing lol.

Actually it's very easy to edit thousands of WP posts with videos, audios, text articles, image galleries, circus, your own blackjack and hookers etc in a couple of minutes. Changing a theme takes about a second. Surprised?

This is what im getting at my end atm :

1) i have old products. pro license
2) i went to https://www.wp-script.com/wp-script-brand-new-version/
3) i downloaded fixer plugin
4) i tried to activate but get this message Fatal error: Call to undefined function WPSCORE() in /SERVERaddress/
5) My wordpress installations of wp-script says about upgrading to pro. but, i have already got pro license
6) in my account, it says i have to purchase ALL products. No software is available for me to download!

Im guessing i will have to wait to hear from support.

Let me rephrase it, I have more knowledge than a newbi and i haved use your plug in for a short period of time. Support was Lacking back then or very slow, you know.
But CyberSEO when you can make it worked.... Its a fantastic plug in indeed I give you this
