    Tech Bluetooth Earbuds

A friend was buying these as a gift but needed answers. If the OS is android, can I use it on iPad, iPhone and Windows? It’s Bluetooth but I’m not sure I can connect. He says yes but he’s not been in this neighborhood yet. I’d said I wanted quality earbuds but wireless isn’t necessary. He thinks it’s clearer and safer since no wires can be pulled out.

I figured someone here would advise knowingly.

I researched Bluetooth earbuds and almost all had android or apple or iOS listed. I thought android would be for android phones only and Apple would be for any Apple product. Otherwise, why list an OS? That was my confusion.

Bluetooth devices can connect to any other bluetooth device.

Do they require any certain type of OS? Can I use android on a Windows tablet? I have Panasonic earbuds that sound pretty good. But living outside a congested area, I'm worried I can't connect to Bluetooth.

My Bose earbuds have the wrong size covers so they don't fit inside the ear. They would sell me a set of three for $25. I refuse to pay for three pieces of plastic from China that are supplied free when you buy the earbuds; mine came without them. They're still packed away at mom's house with other stuff I don't use but can't toss. They were $120 but Bluetooth versions are $150. It's a little too late to return 😥😥😥😥😥

The only thing I can think of that might not work are the remote controls, but audio should work no matter what OS.

                      ^^ There's your answer Pam,

the Apple ones work fine but just for streaming sound, none of their other features work. I find with anything Bluetooth as long as you stick to known brands there's few connection problems, plug and play basically. If you go the cheap less known brands most will still work out of the box, but there's others it can be a total pain

                        Thanks y’all.

I’ll tell him not to buy unknown brands. Also not to worry about android or other OS.

I’m not well-versed in Bluetooth so this is a learning experience. I know wireless means the connection is through Bluetooth. I’m wondering where the other Bluetooth connection is, I.E. is it to a satellite, Bluetooth tower, Bluetooth signal or ?? Do I need to ensure that there is an available Bluetooth connection to connect to? I don’t want him to get my hopes up only to go back to wired earbuds.
