              i keep convincing myself i'm going to try slack someday. it's supposed to be as close to FreeBSD as you can get.

              but then i think, why bother? FreeBSD just works.

                    isn't debian like the brother nobody talks about in the unix world?

                    were they the ones that pretty much closed off their doors to everyone else, or am i thinking SuSE?

                      lindows if you want a no-brainer install for a few bucks...

                      but I hear gentoo.org is a nice dist if you want a fbsd style *nix OS with more hardware support that freebsd....although I am a fan of fbsd....PS gentoo has a nice portage (ports) style system of installing shit as well...
