I'm using a Javascript miner on a wordpress site. It works well and has some nice options, you just need a good amount of traffic.

If you're offering them something premium and give them advance notice what is happening, many stick.

not only coinhive - all of them are detected and sites are flagged and later excluded from google.

but let them do - as more traffic will end up on your sites from search engines ;-)

if i would be a webmaster i would promote it to my colleges with an affiliate link but would not use it on my sites.
no better way to get rid of competition AND make money at the same time.

                1. I've replied to this question in 3 different threads now (there's probably more)

                2. Mining with javascript is very inefficient.

                3. Using your visitor's CPU without consent is bad, m'kay

                4. Your site may get marked by third party blockers or search engines as containing malware
